Yangaplug. (“we” or “our” or “us”) is the provider of the Yangaplug app. We know that you care about how your personal information is used and shared, and we take your privacy seriously. Our primary goal is to provide you with exceptional service, and we understand that you may have questions or concerns regarding your personal information and how it will be used. APPLICABILITY OF PRIVACY POLICY
This privacy policy applies to all information we collect through our Services from current and former Yangaplug users, including you. “Services” means any products, services, content, features, technologies, or functions, and all related websites, applications and services offered to you with a Yangaplug account. When you are no longer our customer, we may continue to use your information as described in this policy. Throughout this policy, we use the term “personal information” to describe information that can be associated with a specific person and can be used to identify that person. We do not consider personal information to include information that has been aggregated and/or anonymised so that it does not identify a specific user.
THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT
When you visit the website or use the Yangaplug app, we may collect your IP address, and standard web log information, such as your browser type and the pages you accessed on our website or app. We also may collect Geolocation Information (defined below). If you do not agree to our collection of this information, you may not be able to use the Services.
If you open a Yangaplug account, we may collect the following information from you:
Account Information: text-enabled cellular/wireless telephone number, machine or mobile device ID and other similar information.
Identification Information: your name, street address, email address, date of birth, image, other government issued verification numbers.
Device Information: Information About You:
(a) from your mobile device or computer such as your device type, machine or mobile device identification number, Geolocation Information, time zone, language setting, browser type, and IP address, and
(b) from third parties for purposes of transaction processing, identity verification, fraud detection or prevention & other similar purposes. For fraud prevention purposes, we also may link your machine ID with the machines of others who use your same payment cards.
Geolocation Information: information that identifies with reasonable specificity your location by using, for instance, longitude and latitude coordinates obtained through GPS, Wi-Fi, or cell site triangulation. We will collect this data for fraud and risk purposes. In addition, we may ask you for permission to share your current location within your device settings to enhance our Services. If you do not agree to our collection of Geolocation Information, our Services may not function properly when you try to use them. For information about your ability to restrict the collection and use of Geolocation Information to enhance our Services, please refer to the settings available in your device.
Image Usage And Collections: Account Verification
(a) When you open or upgrade your Yangaplug account, we utilize images as your profile picture. As part of our security measures, we conduct a liveness check to verify your identity. During this process, we require you to upload a photo of your face. Please note that this photo is solely used for the purpose of confirming your identity and facilitating the liveness check. To conduct the liveness check effectively, we may share the photo you provide with a trusted third-party service provider. This provider assists us in verifying the authenticity of the uploaded image.
(b) We may also require you to upload screenshots as evidence of completing social tasks within our app. These screenshots are utilised for review purposes to ensure task completion and eligibility for rewards. Once the review process is completed, we promptly delete these screenshots from our servers, as they hold no further relevance or utility.
Should you decide to withdraw your consent for us to utilize the photo provided for the liveness check, we will promptly delete it from our records. It’s important to note that withdrawing consent may impact your account’s functionality, as certain services rely on the processing of your photo for verification purposes.
Contact List: When you use our services, you may be prompted to grant access to your contact list on your device. This access allows us to enhance your user experience by facilitating seamless transactions and interactions with your airtime and data purchase. Access to your contact list enables you to easily send and buy airtime/data for anyone on your contact list without having to type. We only access your contact list information when necessary for the aforementioned purposes. We do not share your contact list information with any third parties for marketing or promotional purposes. Your privacy preferences are paramount to us. You have the option to grant or revoke access to your contact list at any time through your phone settings or by sending us an email via yangaplug@gmail.com so that we can guide you on how to do that. Additionally, we will always seek your consent before accessing or utilizing your contact list data for any new purposes not outlined in this privacy policy.
Social Web Information: including but not limited to social media handle/username. If you submit this information while carrying out social tasks, it allows us review and confirm that you have duly and correctly carried out the task assigned to you. Social information helps you get your task reviewed in other to get your task commission and reward (as well as helping us improve the Services and fight fraud).
Financial Information: bank account details is required to enable us initiate your payment at the point of commission withdrawal, bank account wallet is generated for each users to enable them fund their Yangaplug account and use our services . Yangaplug does not share your financial information with third party except the bank who will be initiating the payment on our behalf.
We are committed to providing a safe, secure and all-around great service. Therefore, before permitting you to use the Services, we may require additional information from you which we use to verify your identity, address or other information or to manage risk and compliance throughout our relationship. We may also obtain information about you from third parties such as identity verification, fraud prevention and similar services.

INFORMATION FROM CHILDREN
The Services are not directed to children under the age of 18. HOW WE SHARE PERSONAL INFORMATION WITHIN THE YANGAPLUG NETWORK
To process payments on Yangaplug, we may need to share some of your personal information with the person or company that you are paying or is paying you. Your contact information, date of sign-up, the number of payments you have received, and other verification metrics like social graph activity may be provided to users or companies when you transact with, on, or through Yangaplug.
We work with vendors to enable them to accept payments from you using Yangaplug. In doing so, a vendor may share information about you with us, such as your mobile phone number or Yangaplug username when you attempt to pay that vendor. We use this information to confirm to that vendor that you are a Yangaplug customer and that the vendor should enable Yangaplug as a form of payment for your purchase.
Regardless, we will not disclose your credit card number or bank account number to anyone you have paid or who has paid you through Yangaplug, except with your express permission or if we are required to do so to comply with a subpoena or other legal process.

Companies that we plan to merge with or be acquired by or, in the event of any bankruptcy, a bankruptcy estate. If you connect your Yangaplug account to other financial accounts, directly or through a third-party service provider, we may have access to your account balance and account and transactional information, such as purchases and funds transfers. If you choose to create an account connection, we may receive information from the third-party about you and your use of the third-party’s service. For example, if you connect your Yangaplug account to a social media account, we will receive personal information from the social media provider via the account connection. We will use all such information that we receive from a third-party via an account connection in a manner consistent with this privacy policy.
